Oeschinen Lake - the unique natural jewel at the heart of the Alps - is the source of Kandersteg's outstanding drinking water. The water is sourced from its underground springs, deep within the mountain, and the conveyed to every water tap.
The "Licht- und Wasserwerk AG Kandersteg" (electricity company) works hard to ensure that, as a visitor of this region, you can enjoy this natural and clean drinking water whenever you wish.
